It's 2016!

Hey Guys,

It's been a bit, but I'm finally hitting a solid stride for 2016. Transition is always good, but they never said it would be easy. So, first things first, I hope you all are having a great start to 2016, I certainly have. I made it to New York Toy Fair! This is one of the biggest shows of the year where many of the big toy manufacturers show off what they have coming in the year ahead. We had some really great stuff to show, and I got to see a lot of really great things to be excited about.

New York, albeit cold (super cold), was really cool. I had limited time to do stuff, but I made the best of the little time I had. Did a fair amount of the touristy things like Times Square, Central Park, and visited the Ghostbusters Firehouse!! (and of course the one day I'm there they are renovating the front, so I couldn't get a good picture.

Now on to the Trade-show. We were nestled between a figure company and a sticker Company. Surrounded by great brands like Kid Robot, Kotobukiya, Toy Tokyo, Titan Toys, Bluefin, and Goodsmile. For you Figure Guys we have a ton of really great ones coming out this year, whether you're into the Articulated 1/6th Scale (our head sculpts are unreal!!!) or the PVC figures we have DC, Marvel, and a few surprises coming up in the next handful of months.

In the Scroll above you will see prototypes of our Mini Master Ships, as well as our Caliber (metal) Selection, An assortment of Q-figs to be released in the coming year. Wonder Woman, and Deadpool (February Loot Crate, I got mine did you?) are now out.  Titans new Assortment looks fantastic! You can tell they are having fun with the medium. Kidrobot is seriously killing with their new licenses. The Frazetta pieces look incredible. Frank Kozik apparently worked with the Estate to make a Death Dealer, and a Conan figure and they look incredible. Can not wait for these to come available. Klim Kozinevich at Big Shot Toyworks, and Frank Kozik are changing the vinyl game for the better. Great work for sure. Next we check in with Square Enyx. They had some really fantastic prototype sculpts on display that will look fabulous, and can not wait for their release. The detail achieved on these pieces were really nice. These were just a few of my favorites from the show, but look to see them in stores coming soon. Also, be on the look out as I add release information on the upcoming new lines from Quantum Mechanix.

Formlabs was on location with their Form2. This machine is so exciting for 3-D Printing as instead of having to fill a tank with resin material you can actually change out cartridges. Not only that, the tank is self heating! It Auto-heats to 95° F, the laser has been beefed up in power, and it self cleans its own mirrors. For those of you not familiar with 3-D Printing in this method, it means you can Print big, solid parts with lower peel forces and reduced wear on the resin tank. The fact that it auto wipes it will improve print consistency by removing any particulates from the build area as it prints. ( So suuuper consistent as it prints. Fewer imperfections, means great results.)

They Even Printed Benedict Cumberbatch!

They Even Printed Benedict Cumberbatch!

It's been a really fun last few months leading up to the show, couldn't be happier I was able to make it. Hope all you guys had fun taking a quick glimpse into what I got to see.

Thank you guys as always for tuning in.
