Feeling more organized!

Hey Everyone,

I have been working diligently this weekend to get organized, and actually feel like what I am posting is cohesive. I've been thinking of how I want to use this space to get out what I feel is both fun and important. One thing that lots of people have that makes what they are writing, or showing, interesting is their access.

Nan Goldin, for instance, has always known for her ability to showcase some of the most captivating images of the underbelly of american society. Her gritty work un-apologetically showcased the lives of people who we know exist, but don't always discuss. Part of the allure of her work is how comfortable the subjects are around the camera. These sorts of moments take decades of consistently putting that camera in their faces to work up to that level of comfort.

I also remember my favorite part of attending Art School was the collaboration. I am always fascinated to watch others work. Whether it's a painting, graphic, printmaking, or could be any number of mediums. As I began thinking of what I could contribute and offer to you guys I came to the conclusion that a bit of a behind the scenes vibe for the current trends could be really fun. I will be posting interviews with artist's, backstories of images, and the fun parts of art in the new contemporary movement. So I hope to have a bit of material here for you shortly. Thank you for reading as always!
